He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture. 10 With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought. 11 And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason. 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 It is He who has subjected the sea to you, so that you eat of its soft flesh and bring up from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing their course through it in order that you seek His bounty and give thanks. 14 And He hath cast on the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you, and rivers and paths that haply ye may be directed. 15 And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you do openly. 19 , As for those they call besides God, they cannot create a thing, and have themselves been created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
