Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 But then they divided up their order into different creeds, each section rejoicing in what it had come to have. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Do they say he is possessed? Rather he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
