۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 And whatever blessings you have, are all from Allah – then whenever misfortune reaches you, towards Him only do you seek refuge. 53 yet no sooner does He relieve your distress than some among you set up other partners besides their Lord, 54 (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 And they assign daughters for Allah! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire! 57 And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. 58 and he hides himself from people because of the bad news, thinking: should he keep the child despite disgrace, or should he bury it in dust? How evil is their estimate of Allah! 59 Those who do not believe in the Everlasting Life, theirs is the evil likeness; and for Allah is the highest likeness. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
