۞ Surely Allah enjoins justice, kindness and the doing of good to kith and kin, and forbids all that is shameful, evil and oppressive. He exhorts you so that you may be mindful. 90 Fulfill the covenant of God when you have made one; and do not break your pledges after their confirmation. Indeed you have made God your surety; for God knows all that you do. 91 And be not like her who unravels her yarn, disintegrating it into pieces after she has spun it strongly. You make your oaths to be means of deceit between you because (one) nation is more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only tries you by this; and He will most certainly make clear to you on the resurrection day that about which you differed. 92 And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do. 93 And take not your oaths, to practise deception between yourselves, with the result that someone's foot may slip after it was firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having hindered (men) from the Path of Allah, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you. 94 And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you, if only you could know. 95 What is with you comes to an end, but what is with God abides; and surely We shall recompense those who were patient their wage, according to the best of what they did. 96 Whoever does good deeds – whether a male or female – and is a Muslim, We shall sustain him an excellent life, and shall certainly pay them a recompense which befits the best of their deeds. 97 When you read the Quran, seek God's protection from Satan, the rejected one. 98 Surely he has no authority over those who believe and rely on their Lord. 99 his authority is over those who take him for their friend and ascribe associates to God. 100
