They question you about the spirit. Say: 'The spirit is from the command of my Lord. Except for a little knowledge you have been given nothing' 85 If We pleased We could take away what We have revealed to you. Then you will not find any one to plead for it with Us, 86 Except for Mercy from thy Lord: for his bounty is to thee (indeed) great. 87 Say: "Surely if men and jinns get together to produce the like of this (Qur'an), they will not be able to produce the like of it, however they might assist one another. 88 In this Quran, We have set out all kinds of examples for people, yet most of them persist in denying the truth. 89 And they said, “We will not accept faith in you, until you cause a spring to gush forth from the earth for us.” 90 Or thou have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth therein abundantly; 91 “Or you cause the sky to fall upon us in pieces like you said – or bring Allah and the angels as Witness.” 92 or you have a house made of gold; or you ascend to heaven; and we will not believe in your ascension until you send down to us a Book that we can read." Tell them, "Holy is my Lord. I am but a human being sent as a messenger." 93
