The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Praise be to God who has sent down to His servant -- the Book, which is free from any ambiguity 1 Immutable, so that it may warn of a severe punishment from Him; and give happy tidings to those who believe and do the right that there is a better reward (of Paradise) for them, 2 They will abide therein for ever. 3 and also to warn those who say: "Allah has taken to Himself a son," 4 No knowledge whatever have they of Him, and neither had their forefathers: dreadful - is this saying that comes out of their mouths, [and] nothing but falsehood do they utter! 5 But wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death with grief over them if they are not willing to believe in this message? 6 Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works. 7 and We shall surely make all that is on it barren dust. 8 Or, do you think the companions of the Cave and the tomb stone were a wonder among Our signs? 9 (Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: "Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!" 10 So We prevented them from hearing in the cave for a number of years. 11 and thereafter We revived them to find out which of the two parties could best calculate the length of their stay. 12
