And recall what time Musa said unto his page: I shall not cease until I reach the confluence of the two seas, or I shall go on for ages. 60 So when they had reached the junction of the two (rivers) they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, going away. 61 And after the two had walked some distance, [Moses] said to his servant: "Bring us our mid-day meal; we have indeed suffered hardship on this [day of] our journey!" 62 He replied, "Did you see when we were resting by the rock, that I forgot the fish? Satan made me forget it, so I did not mention it. It made its way to the sea in a miraculous way!" 63 Said Moosa, “This is exactly what we wanted”; so they came back retracing their steps. 64 And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge. 65 Musa (Moses) said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?" 66 [The other] answered: "Behold, thou wilt never be able to have patience with me 67 "And how can you have patience about a thing which you know not?" 68 Moses said, "If God wishes, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey any of your orders." 69 He said, “Therefore if you stay with me, do not ask me about anything until I myself mention it to you.” 70
