Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 By thy Lord, then, We shall surely gather them and the satans; thereafter We shall surely bring them round Hell, kneeling. 68 Then indeed We shall drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against the Most Beneficent (Allah). 69 and then We shall know well all those most worthy to be cast in Hell. 70 Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he obtained knowledge of the Unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Compassionate Lord? 78 Indeed not. We shall record what he says and shall prolong the punishment for him. 79 and We shall inherit all the resources and hosts of which he boasts, and he will come to Us all alone. 80 And they have chosen Gods besides Allah, so that they may provide them strength! 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
