Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
