Man is prone to say: "Shall I be raised to life after I die?" 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 By thy Lord, then, We shall surely gather them and the satans; thereafter We shall surely bring them round Hell, kneeling. 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 And surely We are Best Aware of those most worthy to be burned therein. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those who have feared, and shall have the wrong-doers therein kneeling. 72 And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Which of the two parties (yours or ours) is better in position, and more imposing as an army? 73 And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! 74 Say: "The Most Compassionate Lord grants respite to those who stray into error, until they behold what they had been threatened with, either God's chastisement (in the world) or the Hour (of Resurrection)" - then they fully know whose station is worse, and who is weaker in hosts! 75 And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright [true believers in the Oneness of Allah who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden), and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. And the righteous good deeds that last, are better with your Lord, for reward and better for resort. 76 So have you seen him who denied Our signs and says, “I shall certainly be given wealth and children?” 77 Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? 78 On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. 79 and We shall inherit from him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
