And says man, “When I am dead, will I soon be brought forth alive?” 66 But does man not bear in mind that We have created him aforetime out of nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 We surely know best those most deserving of the fires of hell, 70 There is not one among you who will not reach it. Your Lord has made this incumbent on Himself. 71 Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees. 72 When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?" 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. 79 To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. 80 And they have taken gods beside Allah that they might be unto them a glory. 81 In fact, they can have no honor; their gods will renounce their worship of idols and will turn against them. 82
