T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
