T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
