T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
