In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
