T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Musa come to you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
