T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
