T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
