T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
