(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
