Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 "And remember You much, 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
