(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
