T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
