The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 who give charity, 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
