He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we may glorify 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
