And certainly Haroun had said to them before: O my people! you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent Allah, therefore follow me and obey my order. 90 They said: We shall by no means cease to be its votaries till Moses return unto us. 91 He (Moses) said: O Aaron! What held thee back when thou didst see them gone astray, 92 from following me? Why did you disobey my command?" 93 He said: O son of my mother! seize me not by my beard nor by my head; surely I was afraid lest you should say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel and not waited for my word. 94 Moses asked, "Samiri, what were your motives?" 95 He replied: 'I saw what they did not see and seized a handful of dust from the foot print of the messenger and so I cast it; this my soul prompted me to do' 96 Moses said, "Begone! It shall be your lot to say throughout your life, "Do not touch me," and you will be faced with a fate from which there will be no escape. Now look at your deity to which you have become so devoted: we shall burn it up, and then scatter it into the sea. 97 “Your God is only Allah – other than for Whom there is no worship; His knowledge encompasses all things.” 98 Thus We relate to you the history of past events, and We have given you a reminder [the Quran] from Us. 99 Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden, 100 They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection; 101 The day when the Trumpet is blown. On that day we assemble the guilty white-eyed (with terror), 102 and they shall murmur among themselves: 'You have stayed away but ten (days and nights)' 103 We are most knowing of what they say when the best of them in manner will say, "You remained not but one day." 104
