Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
