Say: Who guardeth you in the night or in the day from the Beneficent? Nay, but they turn away from mention of their Lord! 42 Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 (Muhammad), tell them, "I am warning you by revelation alone." The deaf do not hear any call when they are warned. 45 If but a breath of thy Lord's chastisement touched them, they would surely say, 'Alas for us! We were evildoers.' 46 And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account. 47 And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous 48 Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive. 49 And this is a blessed Reminder (the Quran) which We have sent down, will you then (dare to) deny it? 50
