Say: 'Who shall guard you by night and in the daytime from the All-merciful?' Nay, but from the Remembrance of their Lord they are turning away. 42 Or, have they gods who can defend them against Us? They shall not be able to assist themselves, nor shall they be defended from Us. 43 Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? 44 Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 Were only the slightest whiff from your Lord's punishment to touch them, they would cry out: "Woe to us; we were indeed wrong-doers." 46 We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. 47 And certainly We gave to Musa and Haroun the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who would guard (against evil). 48 Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). 49 And this is an admonition blest, which We have sent down! will ye then be the rejectors thereof? 50
