Say: Who guards you by night and by day from the Beneficent Allah? Nay, they turn aside at the mention of their Lord. 42 Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us. 43 Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them. See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will overcome. 44 Tell them: "I only warn you by the Revelation." But the deaf do not hear the cry when they are warned. 45 And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers. 46 And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Salvation and a Radiance, and a Remembrance for the godfearing 48 those who fear Allah in the Unseen, tremble because of the Hour. 49 And this is a blessed Reminder (the Quran) which We have sent down, will you then (dare to) deny it? 50
