The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
