Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
