The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
