The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 pay their religious tax 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 Those are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on boats. 22
