The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
