Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
