The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 Created man, 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
