The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
