The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
