The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
