[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
