O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 And those who do not associate (aught) with their Lord, 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
