Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
