1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave thou them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
