I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
