Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 “Do not implore this day; you will not be helped by Us.” 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
