[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 And it is He Who has spread you in the earth, and towards Him you are to be raised. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they said the like of what the ancients said. 81 They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up? 82 "Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!" 83 Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!" 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Ask them, "If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?" 88 They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?" 89 Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
