The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 these are the heirs 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
