In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
