He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 They say, “Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?” 82 Assuredly this we have been promised - we and our fathers - aforetime: naught is this but the fables of the ancients. 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will surely say: "(The dominion over all things) belongs to Allah." Say: "Whence are you then deluded?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
